Head Instructor at Fort Collins Kendo: Adam Schmidt, 3rd Dan
Adam Schmidt started Kendo in Dallas Texas at DFWKIK in 2008 and practiced there until 2014 when he moved to San Diego, California. In California he trained with San Diego Kendo Bu and UCSD Kendo. In 2022, he moved to Fort Collins, CO to be close to family and established Fort Collins Kendo.
In 2025, Fort Collins Kendo joined the SWKIF and AUSKF. For more information, please visit SWKIF Southwest Kendo Iaido Federation and AUSKF Official Website. We are established as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and public Colorado charity.
